Many people grow up and are some how touched by professional wrestling. While some might grow out of watching it, others get more passionate about it and decide this is what they would like to do for a living.
This isn't an easy task at all. It's a very hard business to be in and harder to get in. Many people dream of being one of those superstars they see on T.V but have no idea how to go about it. It takes hard work, dedication and a lot of research. It's easy to prepare in the sense of working out, eating right and studying wrestling. We all can easily do that. Where many people fall apart is actually putting their dream into motion. Now becoming a professional wrestler has been my dream since I was 5 and at the age of 19 I have gotten into a wrestling school to make that dream a reality. While anyone who wants to do this knows you have to do research, research the history, people's journeys and wrestling schools, I would not consider doing the research as the real first step.
Since I was able to take that first step I'd like to share how to do it. You need to get in contact with a trainer. This trainer will tell you all you need to know about starting in wrestling and you will also be able to get a feel for what type of person they are and if you would gel with them. This trainer should give you information about the school and wrestling in general. While that seems like a big step I would not consider it the first step into actually going for it. To me, the first step is when you put it into motion. So, the first step in becoming a professional wrestler is to do a try out. Trying out is to make sure wrestling is really for you and this is what you want to do.
Wrestling isn't a cheap thing and making sure you want it before spending thousands of dollars is a must! In this try out you will do a work out. You'll do a lot of cardio and muscle building excerises. Not only that, you will also get to experience wrestling moves. I personally got to learn how to do rolls which is a big part that you have to know how to do. You will also get to step in that ring and run the ropes and take bumps. This is also why I say a try out is the first step, because it's no longer just research or contacting, it is actually stepping between those ropes and doing wrestling moves.
Assuming you want to become a wrestler, you would have already done the research and picked a school. To take that first step set up the try out. Not only is this the first step it's probably the biggest. This is the step where you learn how much wrestling actually hurts. This is the step where you choose if this is really what you want or if this is just not for you. For me, it only confirmed that this is what I wanted and I'm glad I figured out what the first step was. So if you want to do this step up that try out, take the first step and put your dream into motion!
